About the Role
As a Player Protection Officer, your role involves ensuring a safe environment for customers by monitoring behaviors to prevent problem gambling and financial crime. You’ll collaborate closely with our team and the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), conducting detailed assessments of customer behavior. This includes managing real-time requests from Customer Service and contacting players via phone and email to address potential issues and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess customer behavior for signs of problem gambling and financial risk.
- Communicate effectively with players via phone and email
- Review financial documents to assess affordability and financial risk.
- Manage real-time tasks including limit increases and welfare checks.
- Conduct Due Diligence (DD) checks on new and existing customers.
- Perform PEP and Sanction checks and analyze results.
- Adhere to in-house processes and UKGC guidelines.
- Contribute insights to enhance Safer Gambling (SG) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes.
- Assist with compliance audits.
Technical Knowledge:
- Experience of AML within a regulated sector, KYC analysis of clients and understanding of the customer due diligence process.
- Experience in communicating with customers via Phone and Email (in English) is essential.
- Knowledge of the Money Laundering Regulations within the UK and other European markets regulations is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience in undertaking financial crime/AML investigations including, where appropriate, the reporting of SARs regulations is beneficial but not essential.
- Confident in using Microsoft Office applications and/or Gsuite.
- Safer Gambling experience is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
